green line shows the mathematically calculated average rate, in KW-hours/square
meter/per day, at which a thermal storage area or "battery" in the
system, proposed by BuildingCircles Organization,
would charge and discharge over 12 months.
green line: As
one would expect, the heat stored in the thermal battery would be discharged
by the end of winter (-30 KW hours/square meter/per day in month-1) and
would begin recharging at the beginning of spring (crosses over to +1 KW
hours/square meter/day in month-3). The thermal battery would
top off at the end of summer (+30 KW hours/square meter/day in month-6)
and then begin to discharge again.
The red line shows the average amount of total thermal energy that would
be available for use each day during the year.
